PADI TEC 50 Program

Here’s what you’ll learn during your PADI TEC 50 course:

  • An in-depth look at dive physiology and the emergency procedures to follow for various possible scenarios.
  • How to calculate the air supply needed for the dive, taking the correct reserves into account.
  • How to calculate CNS clock and OTU to minimize the risk of oxygen toxicity.
  • How to use Deco software to plan your dives.
  • Diving to a maximum depth of 50 metres with staged decompression.
  • Using two cylinders with decompression gas containing up to 100% oxygen for accelerated decompression or to make the required decompression more conservative.

The PADI TEC 50 Diver course is divided into three main parts:

  1. Knowledge development (independent study and classroom sessions)
  2. Three practical classroom applications
  3. Four open water dives to put technical diving skills into practice.
Prerequisites for PADI TEC 50
  • To take this course you must be at least 18 years old and be a certified TEC 45 Diver and Rescue Diver with at least 100 logged dives, including a minimum of 20 dives using enriched air at a depth greater than 18 metres and at least 15 dives deeper than 30 metres.
Credit/Certification PADI TEC 50

Completing your course you will receive your PADI TEC 50 Diver certification, which will allow you to dive to 50m with staged decompression and using two decompression gases containing up to 100% oxygen for accelerated decompression .
