PADI Rescue Diver Program
What you will learn during your PADI Rescue Diver course:
How to act on underwater emergencies by learning self-rescue techniques;
Recognition and management of stress in other divers;
Equipment check-up and emergency management;
Rescue divers in panic on the surface and underwater;
Rescue divers in an unconscious state on the surface and underwater;
Search and recovery of a missing diver.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is divided into two main parts:
1. Knowledge development (online with individual study or in the classroom)‚ to understand the basic principles of underwater rescue;
2. Practical sessions in the water with 9 exercises for managing underwater emergencies in 2 different scenarios.
PADI Rescue Diver Equipment
Evasioni Blu Diving Ustica provides the specific equipment (buoys and emergency oxygen kit) needed for the PADI Rescue Diver course. Other diving equipment can be rented at our Dive Center.
Prerequisites
- Be a PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver who completed the underwater navigation adventure dive (or have an equivalent certification issued by another training organization);
- Hold a valid Primary and Secondary Care EFR rescue training certificate issued within the previous two years;
- Having turned 12 years old.
Credit/Certification PADI Rescue Diver
If you successfully complete your PADI Rescue Diver course you will receive your PADI Rescue Diver certificate. The PADI Rescue Diver certification is a requirement to become a PADI Master Scuba Diver and participate in the PADI Divemaster course.
